The Botanical Gesture

A small detail. An entire world.

A curved stem, the depth of a petal, the weight of a vessel. This still life explores how a living form can soften a more permanent one. The flower provides movement; the stone gives it a place to pause.

Why these choices?

The palette is close, but never flat: red becomes almost black in shadow, bronze catches a warm edge, pale stone interrupts the darkness. Those same relationships can guide a room without turning it into a literal imitation of a flower.

This is a visual exercise, not a botanical or historical claim about a location. In a real project, a connection to local planting, landscape or culture would need to be observed and researched before becoming part of its story.
